A Letter to my Senators

Today, I sent the following letter to my two Senators.  PLEASE do the same.  As a result of the compromises made to reach a budget agreement, the Senate is about to vote on whether to continue funding Planned Parenthood with tax dollars, and we need to loudly cry out "NO!"  Please Google "[your state] Senators" and quickly send an email expressing your views on this subject.

Subject: Health Care

Dear Senator Coons,

I'm writing to strongly encourage you to vote to defund Planned Parenthood. This organization is responsible for the elimination of "choice" of hundreds of thousands of pre-born children. In their bid to receive the support of the government through the tax monies of your constituents, Planned Parenthood fraudulently claims to offer services that in fact they do not. For instance, the group Live Action recently called dozens of clinics asking if they offered mammograms, and the answer was a consistent "no." Further, the monies Planned Parenthood receives are fungible, and one way or another, MY MONEY is being used to murder innocent children. This is not "health care;" rather, it is the destruction of pre-born human beings. (To give in to the silly euphemisms of the pro-abortion lobby as a basis for supporting Planned Parenthood with tax dollars is not the type of leadership and representation we, your constituents, elected when we voted you into office in 2010.)

Please understand that the majority of Americans do not support tax payer funding of abortion, and a vote to fund Planned Parenthood with federal tax dollars is a vote to support an organization that has a racist history, a fraudulent history, and a present record of targeting races that the organization would rather not see growing in number.

A vote to continue funding Planned Parenthood will represent a vote against the will of your constituency on what is becoming widely recognized as the preeminent social battle of today (despite what the news media would like the public or the government to think).

Please do not make this vote along party lines. Rather, research the organization and the will of your constituents, and please vote according to the truth of what this organization is and the horrific work it accomplishes.

A vote to defund Planned Parenthood will be a vote for the lives of millions of future Americans, and it will earn you the vote of confidence from us, your constituents, that you are indeed representing the will of the people of Delaware.
